Joint & Sports Care Conservative to Advanced Integrated Team

Orthopedic Evaluation & Treatment

We treat joint pain, sports and overuse injuries, arthritis, and mobility issues. Care ranges from conservative options—physical therapy, bracing, activity modification—to injections and referral to our spine or pain specialists when needed.

Evaluation & Imaging

Thorough history and exam, plus X-ray or other imaging when needed to diagnose joint, tendon, or bone conditions and plan treatment.

Conservative Care

PT, bracing, activity modification, and medication or injections when appropriate to reduce pain and restore function.

Coordinated Referrals

When your condition overlaps with spine or pain care, we refer within PPSI so you get one coordinated plan.

What to Expect

Your first visit includes a history and physical exam; we may order or review imaging. We then recommend a plan—often starting with conservative care (PT, activity change, or injections) and referring to our pain or spine team when that’s the right next step. We explain your options so you can make an informed decision.

What Is Orthopedic Care?

Orthopedics focuses on the musculoskeletal system: bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Orthopedic specialists evaluate pain, stiffness, and limitation from injury, overuse, arthritis, or other conditions and recommend treatment—from therapy and injections to surgery when needed. At PPSI, orthopedics is part of a larger team so spine, pain, and rehab are coordinated.

Conditions We Treat

We treat joint pain (shoulder, knee, hip, etc.), sports and overuse injuries, arthritis, tendonitis, and mobility limitations. We also evaluate patients whose symptoms may be related to the spine or nerves and coordinate with our pain and spine specialists when that’s the case.

Our Approach

We start with the least invasive option that fits your condition: rest, activity modification, physical therapy, bracing, or injections. When more advanced care (e.g., pain procedures or spine surgery) is appropriate, we refer within PPSI so your care stays in one place with one plan.

When to See an Orthopedic Specialist

Consider an orthopedic evaluation when joint or muscle pain limits your activities, doesn’t improve with rest and over-the-counter options, or follows an injury. Early evaluation can clarify the diagnosis and get you on a clear treatment path before problems become chronic.

Recovery and Long-Term Care

We build recovery into your plan—whether that’s a home exercise program, formal PT, or follow-up with our pain or spine team. Our goal is to get you back to function and help you maintain it with clear guidance and coordinated follow-up.
